iLS provides Italian law advice and specialises in corporate and banking and finance, including:
- Principal finance, both buy-side and sell-side, for performing, non-performing, and sub-performing financial assets (granular portfolios and single-names);
- Structured finance, providing advice to the various types of subjects involved in this type of transaction, mainly originators, arrangers, and investors, as well as rating agencies and servicers (including, in this respect, advice on the legal and regulatory aspects of the activity of the servicers in the context of securitisation transactions);
- Secured lending (including real estate financing and asset financing) on behalf of lenders and borrowers;
- Restructuring, including compositions with creditors;
- Mergers and acquisitions.
In July 2021, we established an arrangement with Weigmann Studio Legale, one of the oldest and best regarded law firms in Italy, to offer a complete range of legal advisory services, including real estate, traditional banking, litigation, employment, energy, and regulatory law.
In order to serve our clients, we maintain a physical presence in each of the financial hubs of Europe and Italy, London and Milan, through iLS (London UK) and iLS (Milan) Società tra Avvocati.
In Milan, we are based on Via Fatebenefratelli, in the city centre. From our Milan office, we are within reach of our domestic clients and we provide operational and business development support to the group.
