Career

Ms. Nikita Xue has been practicing in the legal field in China for over 15 years since 2001, starting her work at a local notary public office in Guangzhou City, South China. Later, in order to focus on the IP area, she joined Rouse to explore more practice industries, from a different angle. Her knowledge and experience towards legal rights acquisition and protection, intellectual property dispute solutions through both judicial procedure and the administrative procedure have profoundly developed in the last ten years through the handling of hundreds of cases.

Nikita is experienced in handling various kinds of disputed matters, including but not limited to; trademark infringement, unfair competition, copyright infringement, anti-counterfeiting, and contractual matters. Apart from contentious matters, she is also experienced in risk assessment on legal rights applications and she has helped applicants from all over the world to apply for more than one thousand registration applications. Comments from the clients that work with Nikita express gratitude for her responsiveness to all inquiries and her level of dedicated involvement in each matter. With fluent communication capability in both Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) and English, Nikita works mainly with MNCs in various business industries.

Nikita has been a member of the International Trademark Association (INTA) since 2006 and is very proud to have served on the Pro Bono Committee (2012-2013 and 2014-2015). Her focus on the committee was to improve the public’s awareness of Pro-Bono cases and the necessity for legal practitioners to assist those who are unable to afford legal services. Nikita also became a member of the Law & Practice Sub-committee of Bulletin Committee at INTA from 2016 to 2017, and regularly kept the committee up to date with newly-issued laws and regulations relating to IP in China and newly effective civil lawsuits that have significance in the industry.
