Dr. Mustafa Göksu serves as an of counsel at Baysal & Demir Law Firm. He specializes in all aspects of civil procedure, compulsory enforcement (debt collection) and insolvency law. His main focus areas are mediation, litigation finance and the law of evidence, both in Turkish and comparative law.

Mustafa teaches civil procedure, compulsory enforcement, bankruptcy and other relevant subjects (e.g. arbitration, mediation, legal writing) at the university as an Assistant Professor of Law. He taught at multiple universities at undergraduate level as well as graduate level. He presented numerous expert opinions to courts and advised several firms. As a visiting Fulbright Scholar he carried out long-term pre and post-doctorate research studies at the George Washington University in Washinton, DC, as well as Max-Planck-Institut für ausländisches u. internationales Privatrecht in Hamburg, Germany with a government grant.

Mustafa is the author of more than twenty publications including books, peer-reviewed articles, translations etc. He is also the author of Civil Litigation and Dispute Resolution in Turkey, the only book in English on the subject, which also contains the complete English translations of the Turkish Code of Civil Procedure and other relevant statutes. He also regularly lectures and speaks in conferences organized by universities, the Ministry of Justice and bar associations.

Mustafa provides professional training especially on the subject of mediation as well as other aspect of civil procedure, which to date includes several ministries, bar associations, public and private organizations. He participated in several projects carried out by the Ministry of Justice and bar associations and currently is a member of the Scientific Committee drafting the new Turkish Code of Compulsory Enforcement and Bankruptcy.
