Position

Junior Barrister at Rose Court Chambers, specialising in all areas of crime. Nargees has extensive experience defending in the Magistrates’ Court and the Crown Court. She is regularly instructed to act in cases involving violence, dishonesty, weapons, drugs and sexual offences.

Career

Obtained pupillage in 2016 at Lamb Building. Commenced a third six at 3 Temple Gardens in January 2018, tenancy was obtained. Currently a tenant at Rose Court Chambers, tenure commenced 1 June 2021. A member of the Information and Technology Subcommittee within Rose Court.

Nargees worked on the Grenfell Inquiry as disclosure counsel. Nargees has previously been contracted by the Bar Standards Board as both paper scrutiniser, for the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) examinations, and as a panel member to determine Authorised Training and Education Organisation (AETO) status.

Nargees is a passionate advocate. She works tirelessly and fights fearlessly for her lay clients. Nargees places her clients at the heart of her work. Her previous employment as a secondary school teacher makes her a natural choice for firms requiring representatives for youths. She is relatable, down-to-earth and affable. Her approach often invites repeat instruction.
