She has been instructed in murders and attempted murders, armed robberies, firearms, “baby shaking” cases, serious rapes and historic sexual abuse, sexual offences involving persons of trust and mentally disordered clients and victims.

Career

Susan Meek was called to the Bar in 1997 and has continued to practice at the independant bar since this date. 

She has defended both leading and junior alone in numerous rape and sexual assault cases; stranger rape, date rape, gang rape, serial offenders, historic child sex abuse and present day child sex abuse. She also has expertise in defending those accused of possessing indecent images of children and associated offences.

Susan has a particular interest and expertise in financial crime. She is regularly instructed to defend both leading and junior alone in fraud/money laundering cases.
