At the beginning of 2021, Belluzzo International Partners merged its Italian practice with Mercanti e Associati creating Belluzzo Mercanti.
The merger combines the high level of expertise and experience in International wealth and tax from Belluzzo, (which recently also integrated TLF Studio Associato in Milan), with the strong law practice in corporate, banking and real estate from Mercanti. The integration strengthens the firm’s position in wealth, law, tax and finance, while maintaining an excellent standard, particularly as a ‘one-firm’ for family businesses.
The new entity is composed of lawyers and commercialisti, operating in Milan and Verona, active in consultancy and litigation and particularly focusing on wealth, law, tax and finance issues. Thanks to the Belluzzo International Partners’ ‘one-firm’ model, Belluzzo Mercanti’s reach extends to several other jurisdictions. The group also has offices in London, Singapore and Lugano. Together we are 73 professionals, of which 27 are partners, worldwide.
Belluzzo Mercanti’s practices are organized into different departments:
Wealth and estate planning: with particular expertise in private client, trusts and estate planning, the firm focuses in the areas of asset structuring, family business planning, inheritance planning and family constitutions, both at a national and international level. The firm has consolidated experience in assistance and advice in real estate development operations, concerning the purchase and disposal of real estate and trophy assets.
Asset and business structuring, M&A: Among the extraordinary operations, the firm offers consultancy to activities linked to company crises (turnaround), mergers and acquisitions (M&A), property, corporate governance, equity investments and private equity transactions. Thanks to a highly established and experienced team, who deal with major investment banks, private equity firms and financiers, the firm can carry out these services with the aim of assisting clients to achieve the most advantageous outcome.
Business and commercial: the firm provides high quality specialist assistance in legal and tax advice. Dealing with regulatory complexity entails working side by side with the client, developing the best strategies and advising on the risks they may run into, and how to avoid them. Pre-litigation and litigation, in both a tax and legal context, completes our professional activities.
International and cross-border: the firm works side by side with its clients in all aspects of their international growth, with particular focus on wealth, law, tax, finance. International tax compliance and transfer pricing, regulatory and cross-border company and business agreements completes our professional activities.
