Career

Alejandro Pemintel is a partner at PPO Abogados, and he leads the Litigation and Labor Law teams.

With respect to labor matters, he provides counseling to companies concerning all the situations linked to their labor relations, including the design and planning of staff hiring and dismissal policies, labor restructurings and dissolution of companies. Moreover, he has a vast experience in planning, design and execution of strategies aimed at the resolution of labor conflicts, a situation that allowed him to intervene in complex labor negotiations of domestic and foreign companies in all the industries.

In a parallel manner, and as leader of the Litigation team at PPO, he provides counseling to clients with respect to the design and implementation of strategies for the management of civil, commercial, constitutional and arbitration processes. Additionally, he has a vast experience in the negotiation, mediation, and prejudicial reconciliation de pretensions.

Prior to joining PPO, he worked in the Judicature Council and the Labor Ministry. More recently he worked in a renowned corporate firm based in La Paz and, finally, in a labor and litigation firm in which he was a partner.

Within the academic area, he has written several articles concerning labor matters and has been a speaker in different workshops dealing with arbitration issues and labor reforms to be implemented in Bolivia.

Alejandro obtained his Law Degree from Universidad San Francisco Xavier in Chuquisaca, in the city of Sucre, Bolivia and a master’s in civil law from Universidad Andina.
