Position

Solicitor and Partner at Bexley Beaumont specialising in Contentious Trusts and Probate and Professional Negligence claims.

Career

Heather qualified in 2007, and worked at North West firm Stephensons Solicitors dealing with a range of civil dipsue resolution cases whilst building up a specialism in contentious probate.  In 2018, Heather joined Irwin Mitchell, where she grew and led the Manchester Wills, Trust and Estate Disputes team as a Senior Associate.  Heather then joined Bexley Beaumont as a Partner at the start of 2022.

Heather specialises in private client disputes and litigation, specifically those concerning trust, estate and succession disputes. Heather deals with all manner of disputes including claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975, financial abuse claims, will disputes, and claims in respect of beneficial interests in properties. She has experience dealing with high value and complex estate disputes with excellent feedback.

Heather has completed the Association of Contentious Trusts and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS) course and became a full member of ACTAPS in August 2012. Heather is also a STEP affiliate member.

In addition Heather has extensive experience in professional negligence claims against all types of professionals and in particular in connection with wills, trusts and estates, such as claims against solicitors for the negligent drafting of Wills.
