Position

As an experienced solicitor,  Emma advices  employers and employees on all aspects of employment law.

My clients are large corporate businesses and SMEs based throughout the South of England.  She also acts for senior executives and directors.

She specialises in supporting clients by:

  • Drafting and updating senior executive employment contracts and director service agreements
  • Advising on managing disciplinary, grievance, performance and sickness procedures and queries arising from family friendly leave
  • Helping clients manage redundancies or internal reorganisations
  • Providing employment support for corporate mergers and /or acquisitions, including advising on TUPE implications
  • Settlement agreements (drafting on behalf of the employer and advising on behalf on an employee)

Her clients know me to be approachable and friendly and trust her to provide them with practical and clear advice and support, always tailored to their specific needs.   Clients can rely on me to be always available when support and advice is required.

Counting SMEs, NFPOs, and publicly-listed companies amongst its client base, the ‘commercially savvy’ team at Moore Barlow has vast expertise in handling High Court and employment tribunal claims, as well as restructurings and redundancies. The ‘phenomenal’ Katherine Maxwell leads the group, operating out of both Southampton and Richmond, and specialising on TUPE transfers and post-termination restrictive covenants. Emma Edis regularly deals with the employment aspects of M&A and reorganisations. Associate Stephanie Clarke left the firm in November 2022, moving in-house.
