TESTIMONIAL: “Del Rosal, Adame & Segrelles (DRA&S) is a trusted advisor for criminal law of our Group in Spain since 2014. They have proven full dependability around the clock and calendar, which makes the client feel not just well catered but cosseted. The managing partner is a highly reputed and renown professor at University, who apart from a deep technical knowledge, is very methodic and well organized but at the same time has an enviable pragmatic approach to matters and masters swift and shrewd reactions in the procedural strategy before Court. All of the partners in DRA&S have defended important criminal cases both at the higher Courts in Spain (Tribunal Supremo and Audiencia Nacional) with successful outcomes. The firm blends a painstaking attention to detail and thorough analysis typical of the old school criminal law boutique firms, with features of the large international firms thanks to past experience of several of its partners with Magic Circle names. As token of said international profile is the partners´ proficiency in English and understanding of complicated financial products and services. Discreetness is another feat of DRAS, since in spite of having been involved in several front cover cases recently, they have always managed to keep themselves and their clients away from the public eye”.

COMPANY/FIRM: Ouigo Spain (Spanish branch of the French SNCF)
TESTIMONIAL: “I know Bernardo since I worked with him at Indra and continued to work with him at Ferrovial and now in Ouigo. The issues we had to deal with were linked to the following: internal investigations, compliance due diligence in the context of project financing, defence (precontentious and judicial) and strategy of the company’s involvement in economic crimes, defence (precontencious and judicial) and strategy of the company against crimes committed by their employees, high executives training in anticorruption and other crimes or gross negligence risks of the company, and at individual personal level, drafting and implementation of legal compliance programs in international companies. The reason for the continuing hiring of Bernardo and his team during the years is his solid knowledge of the Spanish criminal law environment which is awesome from a technical and academic point of view. However, this expertise is also linked with a very vast knowledge of the corporate environment and the international field, which is really important in the context of multinational companies, extraterritorial conflicts of interest, etc. He has experienced a lot of important successes in the corporate criminal law and compliance in Spain and has contributed with his advice and interventions in Courts, to the modernization and evolution of the Spanish scene in this area. In addition, he has a very practical and pragmatic approach of delicate issues in Spain, for example the links between the criminal and employment law processes and strategies. He has a high reputation also before the Spanish Courts. Last but not least is a truly dedicated lawyer, always supportive from a personal and professional point of view”.
