David Steenson is a Jersey Advocate and one of the founding partners of Steenson Nicholls.
With over 25 years of experience in private practice, David is a leading Litigation and Dispute Resolution practitioner appearing in numerous high-profile and significant cases.
David specialises in complex financial litigation, including contentious trust and commercial disputes.
David is also a well-known criminal lawyer and was appointed as a Crown Advocate in 2015.
David qualified as an English Barrister and practised in London at 3 Paper Buildings before moving to Jersey in 2000.
David was admitted as a Jersey Advocate in 2004 and was a partner of a global offshore law firm from 2005 to 2014, heading up its Jersey Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice before leaving the firm to establish his own Jersey law firm, Steenson’s.
Steenson Nicholls LLP‘ name partners David Steenson and Paul Nicholls are active in a number of proceeds of crime and asset freezing cases, typically representing individuals in proceedings against the Jersey Attorney General, as well as in criminal fraud cases.
A litigation boutique formed in January 2019 by the merger of two eponymous practices, Steenson Nicholls LLP‘ two name partners David Steenson and Paul Nicholls are active in numerous cases, with a focus on trust litigation including some of the biggest cases – both partners are involved in the Crociani saga for Camilla Crociani – as well as professional negligence cases and other work.
