Ranjan founded the specialist IP law firm, RNA, Technology and IP Attorneys, in 2004. He has more than twenty years’ post qualification IP experience (PQE), both contentious and non-contentious, working in-house with the legal department of Burmah Castrol (now BP) for more than three years, and as a partner of leading international IP consultancy, Rouse, for 10 years, heading its India practice. This combination of in-house and international experience has given Ranjan both an acute awareness of the need for commercial solutions and an understanding of the highest levels of international IP service. He has worked on nearly 1000 civil and criminal matters for clients in various industries. His current work involves advising client on IP strategy in the digital world.

Ranjan leads the IP consulting practice at the firm, at the same time he is closely involved in Dispute Resolution Practice regularly appearing before Courts and Tribunals for contentious matters.

Ranjan has been ranked as a leading IP practitioner by various publications, including the Ranjan Narula – Trademark Star (MIP), 2020, WIPR Leader 2019, MIP (Trademark Star in 2020, 2018), *WTR 1000*, *Who’s Who Legal* and *Asia IP Experts*. He is currently member of the Board of Directors of International Trademark Association and is invited to speak by several Universities, chamber of commerce and IP association.
