Career

Before founding FACTORHY, Laurent Gamet worked for 20 years at FLICHY GRANGE, where he was managing partner.

A renowned and combative litigator, Laurent Gamet devotes a bulk of his time to preventing labor disputes and defending companies involved in such disputes. He works upstream on defining a strategy to avoid litigation involving significant financial risk (working hours, class actions, emotional distress), criminal risks (fatal workplace accidents, serious injuries, illegal employment), social risks (conflicts with elected employee representatives and unions) and reputational risks (discrimination, harassment, ethics alerts, parent companies’ duty of care for their international activities), or to managing these under the best possible conditions. He assists companies during the investigation phases (Defender of Rights, examination) and represents them before the civil and criminal courts.

Laurent Gamet is also recognized for his support during corporate restructuring measures. In recent years, he has worked alongside companies that have undertaken major reorganizations in difficult social contexts.

In addition to these specialties, which place him among the “leaders” on the French market according to the specialized press, Laurent Gamet demonstrates pragmatism and responsiveness in assisting companies with their daily management of individual and collective labor relations.

Laurent Gamet is also a University Professor. He teaches law at the University of Paris-Est-Créteil and, since 2002, at Sciences-Po Paris.

Laurent Gamet has authored a number of books and articles on employment law in renowned legal journals. He regularly speaks at conferences in France and abroad. He is President of the Employment Law section of the Société de Législation Comparée and member of the Association Capitant, Association Française de Droit du Travail and the ANDRH.

Laurent Gamet is accredited to supervise research and has a PhD in Law (winner of the Lavoisier scholarship from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European University Institute of Florence). He won the first prize in the Caen Memorial Museum’s Human Rights Competition for Lawyers.
