Career

Peter secured his law degree from the University of Leeds in 1997. He completed his Certificate in Legal Practice in 1999 and commenced his law practice upon admission as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on 4th August 2000. Peter joined Messrs Cheah Teh & Su in April 2005 and was promoted to Senior Associate with effect from 1st January, 2007. He was made a partner of the Firm in January 2009. He regularly appears before the High Court, Sessions Court and Magistrate’s Court and also assists as junior counsel for appeals in the Court of Appeal and the Federal Court. His portfolio includes corporate litigation, Company law related matters including winding-up proceedings, employment disputes, administration of estate related litigation including non-contentious probate proceedings and interlocutory relief and remedies. He also has experience in non-litigation matters involving commercial dispute resolution.
