Mr Hamdy Mostafa
Hamdy has over 24 years of solid experience in the legal sector.
Hamdy is an expert in corporate law, commercial law, civil law, banking law and IP law. He has extensive experience advising on corporate legal issues including, but not limited to M&A, joint ventures, complex corporate restructure, IPOs, companies’ law, investment law and capital market law. He is also experienced in the fields of trade law issues including, but not limited to distributorships, commercial agency, technology transfer, bankruptcy and cheques. Hamdy is drafting and negotiating all types of commercial agreements.
Hamdy was the General Counsel of Siemens Technologies SAE. He was advising and supporting the top management and business divisions on a variety of areas of the law, including all types of commercial contracts (e.g. agency, distributorships, supply, service, consultancy, JVs…etc), intellectual property, labor/employment, litigation, antitrust and corporate/securities. Hamdy was supervising all the Company’s legal disputes handled by external law firms (arbitrations and ordinary court cases).
He was proactively assessing and managing risks and deal with the routine legal matters the Company confronts. Hamdy was advising on mergers and acquisitions including drafting/negotiating transactional agreements and ancillary documents (including letters of intent and NDAs), conducting and/or overseeing due diligence on targets as well as instructing and liaising with external advisers where it is deemed necessary.
Before Siemens, Hamdy was the Head of Corporate & Commercial Department at Dentons (formerly known as SNR Denton) , a global law firm created by international law firm Salans LLP, Canadian law firm Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP (FMC) and international law firm SNR Denton. Hamdy was advising international clients on very complex corporate restructuring and planning. He was handling all types of M&A, corporate, commercial, capital market work for international clients. Also, Hamdy was defending and representing clients in commercial litigation and international and arbitration.
Prior to Dentons, Hamdy was a Senior Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers (“PwC”) -Tax & Legal Services Department (“TLS”). Hamdy was advising multinational clients on taxation system in Egypt, Labor and Social Security Laws, investment and corporate structures to do business in Egypt, IP issues, and Egyptian import and export regulations.
Hamdy started his career in El-Bably Law Office.
