Career
Thomas Berendsen joined LXA Attorneys in 2013 and is heading the IP/IT and Privacy department of LXA.
Thomas is specialized in intellectual property law, with a focus on trade mark, copyright, design law and patent law. Furthermore, Thomas has a vast experience in the field of misleading and comparative advertising, passing off and ICT (Information Communication Technology) matters.
In addition, Thomas is responsible for the LXA’s membership of the INCOPRO Legal Network, enabling LXA to combine its legal services in the fight against counterfeit with state-of-the-art online solutions, as part of a network of legal experts in the field.
Memberships
Thomas is a member of the Benelux Association of Trademark and Design law, Thomas is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA). Prior to becoming member of the IBA, Thomas was member of the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA). He is also member of the European Community Trademark Association (ECTA). He is a regular speaker at conferences of these organizations.
