With over 21 years of experience, Stephen has served in both local and international reputable corporate firms and as a legal consultant for various state corporation. He has offered pragmatic advisories on registration of trademarks, patents, industrial designs, and database rights as well as advising numerous local and multinational companies on health regulations in Kenya, data protection and privacy, artificial intelligence, commercial and regulatory telecommunications advice, including fixed line, mobile, internet and satellite.
His major highlights include; He was the Transaction advisor on acquisition of equity in a local ISP by a local investor and an investment infrastructure company, advised a multi-national ISP on legal and regulatory compliance, advised a leading regional Insurance Company on data protection and cybersecurity, advised a leading technology company on SIM card registration and compliance, advised a leading global telecommunications company on legal, regulatory and industry specific requirements governing cloud computing & licensing, advised several data centre companies on licensing and regulatory compliance, successfully acted for the leading telecom company in a telecom arbitration with a value of US$2 million, acted for the leading telecom company in a claim for US8 million, successfully defended a top tier retailer in competition investigation and he successfully defended a pan-African digital infrastructure provider against a competition investigation.
