Specialist in dispute resolution, criminal law and white collar crime. He advises on legal strategies and representation in litigation, personally attending to complex dispute resolutions in diverse areas.

He worked at the Public Defense Office in the regions of Antofagasta, Metropolitana Norte and Los Lagos; in the position of Defender and Chief of Studies. He formed part of a selected group of directors that oversaw the implementation of the criminal procedure reform in our country.

Mr. Masferrer held the position of National Director of Gendarmerie of Chile for three years and, later, became the Head of the Foreign Immigration Department in the Ministry of the Interior and Public Security. Between 2018 and 2019 he was Director of the National Intelligence Agency.

Mr. Masferrer was included in Leaders League 2020 edition for his practice in Dispute Resolution – White Collar Crime.




Lawyer from Andrés Bello University; candidate to Doctor in Constitutional Law from the University of Salamanca, Spain; and Diploma in Criminal Economic Law and Social Management and Public Policies from Alberto Hurtado University and the Latin American Social Sciences Faculty (FLACSO), respectively. In academics, he has taught at prominent universities of the country. He has been a professor in the Universidad Autónoma de Chile. Furthermore, he has participated in legal investigations in Chile and abroad, and has published articles in specialized journals and communication media. He has lectured specialization courses for Public Defense Attorneys and was an intern in the Institute of Legal Research of the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
