Career

Professor MacLeod graduated from the university of Tasmania in 1992 and commenced his legal practice in Australia in shipping, transportation, human rights and military law. He obtained is masters of law from Southampton in the UK, practicing with Norton Rose before moving to the international committee of the Red Cross where he undertook law of armed conflict responsibilities in former Yugoslavia and Rwanda.  He specialises in human rights, law of armed conflict and military law. MacLeod established the ethical litigation business line and is on the front line of obtaining justice for women and children abused by aid workers internationally.

MacLeod is an experienced chairman and non-executive director in the UK, Australia and the US, ensuring good governance, legal compliance and risk analysis.

MacLeod is a visiting professor at Kings College, London.
