Since its establishment in 2018, Rybalkin, Gortsunyan & Partners has been focused on bolstering its dispute resolution offering. It continued its expansion streak with multiple hires from Egorov Puginsky Afanasiev & Partners, including Dmitry Dyakin, whose expertise significantly contribute to the group’s ability to handle cross-border disputes. Founding partner Ilya Rybalkin leads the practice; he is a key contact for fraud litigation – a strength that manifested itself in the team’s role in representing Renova Industries in its $1bn case brought against a former Russian minister. Counsel Yuri Makhonin is also a key figure.

Russia > Dispute resolution: arbitration and mediation

Dispute resolution boutique Rybalkin, Gortsunyan & Partners has been on an expansion streak since its establishment in 2018, most recently gaining ground in the international commercial and investment arbitration space through multiple arrivals from Egorov Puginsky Afanasiev & Partners in early 2020. Particularly notable is the appointment of highly regarded practice head Dmitry Dyakin (‘he’s one for the hardest and most complex disputes when you need the best’). Alongside Dyakin, clients also praise Vladimir Pestrikov and senior associate Vsevolod Taraskin for ‘attending diligently to all matters’. Other noted practitioners include counsels Dmitry Kaysin and Yuri Makhonin, and senior associate Stanislav Karandasov.
