Career

Dewi is a partner and co-head of the firm’s Intellectual Property practice.

Prior to joining Assegaf Hamzah & Partners in June 2018, Dewi was with Lubis Hadiputranto Ganie Surowidjojo and established Hanafiah Soeharto Ponggawa in 1990. She then set up her own firm Dewi Soeharto & Rekan (in association with Deacons & Graham & James) in 1996 and focused her firm’s practice in Intellectual Property (IP) law since 2007 under the name of Dewi Soeharto Law Partnership (DSLP).

She led the successful development for her boutique firm until it became one of the most sought-out Indonesian law firms for IP practice. Her expertise and high ability to serve clients has made numerous prominent blue-chip companies and social institutions select and continue to use her firm over the years. She has been assisting one of the world’s largest media company since 1992.
