In one highlight, Arnold Lule Sekiwano, as Ugandan counsel, advised Platinum Equity on the acquisition of Johnson & Johnson's glucose blood monitoring business. Priscilla Mutebi is a key contact in the real estate and conveyancing department.

Advised Total E & P Uganda BV on the regulatory and permit requirements relevant for the entire upstream project within the Albertine Region in Uganda

Advised China Petroleum Technology and Development Corporation a wholly owned subsidiary of China National Petroleum Corporation on the regulatory processes and local content requirements with respect to its operations in Uganda.

Advised an international Oil & Gas contractor in relation to the tender process for the Front End Engineering Design (“FEED”) and EPC contracts for the Kingfisher project being developed by CNOOC, Total E & P and Tullow.

Currently advising the World Bank through its Long Term Finance Division on the legal, regulatory and tax aspects for the issuance of a project bonds and set – up of an infrastructure fund.

Advised a major upstream player in respect to the application of the upstream Health and Safety Regulations and Local Content Requirements pertinent to the upstream project in Uganda.

Currently advising a consortium led by a recognized international security firm on the legal, regulatory and procurement aspects of its bid for the provision of security services covering the entire pipeline route from Hoima to Tanga, Tanzania.

Currently advising Platinum Equity on its US$2.1 Bn acquisition of Johnson & Johnson’s glucose blood monitoring business

Recently advised JCDecaux Group on the Uganda aspects of the global review of its employment policy and compliance manual.

Advised Advance Global Capital UK on its proposed US$4.000.000 (Four Million United States Dollars only) revolving credit facility to a leading receivable finance company in Uganda.

Advised Abraaj on the tax liability on cash interest payments with respect to its set up of a credit fund for Africa.

Advised ZF Friedrichshafen AG, a leading global automotive supplier and industry technology provider, on the Ugandan aspects of the global review of its internal compliance policy.

Advised FACTS East Africa BV, a leading supply chain finance company on its corporate re – organization by way of a group transfer of shares, issuance of additional shares and subsequent debt – equity conversions with respect to shareholder loans.

Advised the Uganda Securities Exchange on the preparation of its Rule Book and User’s Manual which entailed a review of the entire legal framework pertinent to the capital markets sector.

Advised Tritente Global Energy Group on its proposed set up of a 100MW Solar IPP Project in Uganda.

Advising a project sponsor on the development of the geothermal project in Uganda.
