Jonathan undertakes all types of work relating to resolving financial issues between divorcing couples or former cohabitants. He represents clients in the County and High Courts. He has been led in a ‘big money’ case. He deals with cases involving farms, pensions, trusts, companies, insolvency, overseas assets and jurisdictional issues. He has a particular expertise in dealing with ancillary relief cases which involve third patiies claiming beneficial interests in matrimonial assets. He also undertakes work in respect of claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependents) Act 1975. He aims to provide practical advice and robust representation. Jonathan undertakes private law Children Act matters in both the County Court and High Court. He has been involved in complex cases involving cultural and jurisdictional issues and child and domestic abuse. He generally seeks to adopt a conciliatory approach and to make the court process as painless as possible for lay clients.
