Career
Mrs. Leandro heads the IP litigation department and her practice is primarily focused on intellectual property matters, including trademark clearance, prosecution and litigation (oppositions, annulments, cancellations); trademark coexistence, assignment and licensing agreements; trademark surveillance and enforcement, international clearance and filings, among others.
Prior to being a partner at Estudio Benedetti, she was a senior associate of the Trademark Litigation team of the internationally renowned Panamanian firm Benedetti & Benedetti, which allowed her to gain substantial knowledge and experience in the prosecution of opposition, cancellation and annulment matters prosecuted by specialized commercial courts,and a wide range of IP matters in Panama and abroad. Before this, she worked in Barcelona for a well-known Patent and Trademark Agency, handling clearance, registration and enforcement of Spanish, International and Community Trademarks.
Mrs. Leandro is an active member of an INTA committee and is a contributor of IP law related international publications.
