Career

Partner of CGM, Paula has broad experience in the assessment of environmental risks in corporate and capital market transactions. She advises domestic and foreign companies from the most diverse industry segments, including energy, agribusiness, chemical, automotive, pulp and paper, and consumer goods.

She acts in the strategic conduct of judicial and administrative environmental proceedings, including civil inquiries filed by the Public Prosecutor’s Office and negotiation of Conduct Adjustment Agreements. She advises on complex contamination cases, negotiating deadlines and remediation measures with environmental agencies. Her expertise includes the analysis and contractual allocation of environmental liabilities of companies and project financiers, in addition to consulting in environmental licensing processes, export of native wood, waste management, water resources, and the Forest Code. Her experience also includes support to implement and manage sustainability and value chain projects in companies and pro bono legal advice to the third sector on environmental preservation projects.
