In recent highlights, the practice advised Inmobiliaria Torre Apoquindo on the negotiation and drafting of two lease agreements for a major real estate project called Urbana Center Apoquindo, as well as advising Inmobiliaria Irarrázaval Dos on the sale of the Somma Plaza Ñuñoa building. MBC Abogados’ 12-strong tax practice routinely acts for individual clients, family offices, companies and foundations on high-value transactions, including cross-border matters. The group also has a strong track record in administrative proceedings before the Chilean Tax Authority. The team is co-led by former Barros & Errázuriz partner María Teresa Cremaschi, who specialises in the tax aspects of cross-border transactions, M&A and corporate restructuring; and Nicolás Alvarado, whose broad practice covers transactional work, tax audits and administrative procedures. The department also features tax law specialist Evelyn Sepúlveda, and Jazmín Gajardo, who acts in tax disputes. Former Carey lawyer María Pilar Diez and Pedro Pablo Otero, whose career includes a stint at the Prosecutor’s Office of the Ministry of National Assets, are key associates. Carolina is currently a member of the International Steering Committee of the Women in the Profession (WIP) Program and Member of the Board of Experts, Commission of Women Lawyers, Chilean Bar Association.

Ignacio Bolelli, partner: His practice is focused on real estate project financing and development, corporate reorganizations, merger and acquisition of companies, private negotiations for the purchase or sale of assets and companies, joint ventures, public and private investment funds structuring, shareholders’ agreements, options, capital and debt issuance, derivatives.

Founding partner of MBC Abogados in 2010. He previously worked as General Council of Grupo Patio SpA (2005-2010), and former vice-president of Miradas Compartidas Foundation, for people with intellectual and mental disorders (2013-2016).

Ignacio acts as legal advisor to several board of directors.

He is chairman of the Legal Committee for Latin America of ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centres). And is also alternate Director of the Chilean Chamber of Shopping Centres and member of the Legal Committee of the Chilean Shopping Center Association. 

Benjamín Salas, partner: With extensive experience in real estate development and financing, corporate and individual restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, sale or purchase of assets and companies’ negotiations, joint ventures, public and private investment funds structuring, shareholders agreements, options, capital and debt emissions, and project finance.

Benjamín joined MBC in 2014 and has been a partner since 2019, continuing his outstanding career with the firm and his commitment to the company’s growth.

He previously worked at Cariola, Díez, Pérez Cotapos & Cia. (2012-2014) and at Larraín, Rencoret y Urzúa (2010-2012).

Maria Teresa Cremaschi,  partner: Partner of MBC Abogados since 2021, where she arrived to create and lead the tax group. She has specialized in cross-border transactions, M&A and business restructuring, providing advice to local and international important companies on tax matters.

She previously worked as partner in Barros y Errázuriz (2000-2021), and as lawyer in Ernst & Young (1998-2000).
