Marco Niedermann is a partner at Niedermann Rechtsanwälte and represented clients in cases related to money laundering, privatisation programs of former eastern bloc countries, private banking and asset administration disputes, corporate liability, securities law, regulatory matters, enforcement of foreign judgments in Switzerland, international administrative assistance, and asset recovery.

Career

Trained courts and law firms; qualified 1974. Marco Niedermann served as a lecturer for civil law at the University of Zurich. He worked at Zurich courts for many years and also served as a judge ad hoc on a district court and at the Commercial Court of the Canton of Zurich 1981-82. In 1994, after having been a partner at two renowned Zurich law firms, he founded the law firm of Niedermann Rechtsanwälte, which is specialised, and has developed a recognised position, in commercial litigation and arbitration as well as in judicial and administrative assistance proceedings. He regularly acts as counsel and as arbitrator. Publications of note: Vollstreckung ausländischer – insbesondere deutscher – Titel in der Schweiz, Munich 1996. Current directorships: Lienhardt Privatbank Zurich AG.
