Rebecca is a partner in the family law department and advises clients on all issues arising from divorce and relationship breakdown, both financial and children related. She is experienced in drafting pre-nuptial agreements, both domestic and international, and in resolving issues between unmarried couples.

She is a member of Resolution, the leading association of family lawyers in England, and is also a trained collaborative lawyer and a member of the London Family Solutions practice group.

Rebecca was one of only three family lawyers named in The Lawyer's prestigious Hot 100 list for 2014. She is listed as a leading individual in the 2015 edition of The Legal 500 and acknowledged as being ‘rated extremely highly’ for her work on pre- and post-nuptial agreements. In both 2012 and 2014 she was nominated for Spear's Wealth Magazine’s ‘Young Turks’ Awards and appeared in the Spear's index of legal rising stars. She is included in the 2015 edition of Spear's 500 Guide and in Citywealth's Leaders List 2015 as a prominent figure. The Leaders List features a quote saying that Rebecca is 'bright; fair and never without a dash of humour'.

Recent work highlights:

  • Acting in the reported case of AI and MT, the groundbreaking case where the High Court agreed to refer the children, divorce and financial issues between a couple to religious arbitration.
  • Advising the successful defendant in F v Y (Abduction: Acquiescence) involving an alleged wrongful removal of a child to Russia.
  • Acting in Re: B (Children), one of the first reported Court of Appeal cases to focus on the English court’s jurisdiction under Article 3 of the European Maintenance Regulation.

In 2012, Rebecca was nominated and short-listed for Associate of the Year at the Family Law Awards, and was nominated for Spears Wealth Magazine’s ‘Young Turks’ Awards in both 2012 and 2014. She also appeared in the Spears’ index of legal rising stars. She has written for the legal media and appeared as one of only three family lawyers in the prestigious ‘Hot 100’ published by The Lawyer in 2014.

Starting January 1st, 2013, a new tax law (Law No. 822, Tax Concertation Law) came into force in and completely changed the taxation system in Nicaragua. Two years later a new law was issued by the National Assembly containing more than 80 amendments, additions and repeals (Law No 891) which came into force December 18th, 2014.
