Jérôme leads our Public Law - Environment and Projects - Energy practices. He is also experienced in Competition - Regulatory work. This all-round approach to working with public and private sector companies and governments brings a range of unique benefits to clients. Jérôme practiced at global and French firms prior to joining us in 2000. He advised public sector entities and governments on the transfer of state-owned companies and on privatizations. He has worked on energy and infrastructure projects in France, Latin America and Asia as well as on institutional reform projects in Eastern Europe and Africa. Jérôme is French-qualified.

The firm is also advising a high-profile French company, several major financial institutions and a number of property developers on public procurement, construction, public domain rights and urban law issues. SFR and Enedis are clients. Jérôme Michel leads the practice, and of counsel Jean-Pierre Delvigne is the other key member of the team.

The IT team at Franklin recently acted for major corporates on the negotiation of IT procurement contracts with leading technology companies and service providers, while maintaining its strong presence in the telecoms space. A cross-disciplinary team including Jérôme Michel, Julie Catala Marty, Christian Sauer, Kai Völpel  and Magali Masson advised a longstanding client in the telecoms space on a number of matters, including a major restructuring of its media content division, merger filings and a number of asset disposals. On the contentious side, Yann Colin is currently representing one of the main French telecoms players in a range of commercial litigation proceedings, including a high-profile contractual dispute with a well-known competitor. In other highlights, the firm's enviable client base appointed the team to advise on licensing deals, corporate transactions, antitrust compliance and data privacy issues.
