Career

Luis Rosas began his professional career with the firm Arconada, Piñeiro & Tamez Abogados, where he headed the Labor and Social Security Litigation department. Following, he joined the firm Arthur Andersen, and was responsible for opening the firm’s Labor and Social Security Law department. Later, he was with Rodríguez y Hernández-Ojeda Abogados, to then join Barrera Siqueiros y Torres Landa (now Hogan Lovells BSTL), where he is an associate attorney in the area of Labor and Social Security. He intervened in the merger between Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria and Bancomer, in the audit regarding transcendent labor and social security claims that could have affected the purchase price of Bancomer.

Education

Mr. Rosas received his law degree from Universidad Anáhuac del Sur (1991-1995), following which he completed a postgraduate degree in labor law at Universidad Panamericana, earning an Honorable Mention (1996). He completed a postgraduate diploma in appeals law at Universidad Panamericana (1997).

Leisure

He takes part in Pro Bono work, e.g., preparing a chapter for disabled people to be included in the Amendment of the Federal Labor Law. He also provides legal advice to people with low income.
