Career

Federico Hernández is the head of the TMT practice in our Mexico City office, advising domestic and foreign clients on diverse telecommunications, media and technology matters and has over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications sector with a wide range of regulatory, commercial, and procurement transactions. He also concentrates on other areas of law, including administrative, antitrust, corporate, and commercial, representing various clients in different industries. Federico has vast experience in telecommunications, broadcasting, media, content, and new technology issues. He has also advised the Government of Mexico in complex regulatory projects and cases involving the development of the telecommunications and broadcasting sectors. Federico represents national and international clients, such as carriers, resellers, equipment providers, content providers, tech companies, among others. Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Federico worked for more than three years at the Mexican telecommunications regulator in the then-department of Legal Affairs, serving in different positions, being the last one as director of regulatory affairs. Federico has lectured and published articles of diverse telecommunication issues in Mexico.
