Career

Sammy Li has a dedicated practice in capital markets and corporate transactional work. He is one of the “go-to lawyers” in advising on Hong Kong equity capital market transactions such as IPOs, global offerings, rights issues and other capital markets fund raising transactions. Sammy also has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and insolvency, private equity as well as venture capital investments. Prior to re-joining Hogan Lovells as partner, he was the Hong Kong chair at a leading U.S. firm and an in-house counsel for a major investment bank, hence, he has a deep understanding of the finance industry and its regulations, which enables him to give practical commercial advice to clients.
