He has extensive experience representing corporations, limited liability companies, investment funds, directors and officers in high profile litigation, primarily in the Southern District of New York, New York State courts, Delaware Chancery court and many other courts around the country. In 2002, Michael was named to the National Law Journal’s “40 Under 40 List”. Since that time, he has been involved in some of the most significant cases involving securities fraud, mail and wire fraud, RICO violations, FIRREA and False Claims Act cases, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud and other business disputes, bankruptcy litigation, structured finance disputes, post-acquisition disputes, corporate governance (including mergers and acquisition litigation), claims involving lender liability issues, shareholder class and derivative actions, claims involving limited liability company and limited partnership issues and structures. Many of his cases are “bet the company” matters that require deep client understanding and experienced litigation acumen.
