Career

Hannah Piper has acted on some of Hogan Lovells’ most complex and reputationally critical disputes of recent years. She has more than a decade of experience working with financial institutions and other corporates to resolve a range of contentious matters, and she understands the high stakes involved.

Hannah manages high value litigation and significant investigations by regulatory and criminal authorities, both in the UK and overseas. She has particular experience of handling cross-border matters involving multiple jurisdictions and dealing with the associated conflicts of law issues.

Hannah’s expertise has been further enhanced by secondments to a Judge in the Court of Appeal and, more recently, to the litigation and investigations department of a leading international bank.

Hannah enjoys the law and thrives on constructing an argument, but she also recognizes that clients often prefer a commercial resolution to a legal one. Whatever the context, she appreciates the need to be both reactive and proactive, finding workable solutions and identifying potential issues before they arise.
