Career

Philip Hassett is an expert construction lawyer with over 10 years’ experience acting for government, funders, principals, developers, and contractors advising on procurement strategy, tendering, drafting contracts, and undertaking due diligence on asset acquisitions. He is well versed across the industry standard forms including JCT, NEC, FIDIC, IChemE, LOGIC, AS2124 and AS4000, and with PFI contracts SOPC and WIDP.

His practice focuses on all aspects of construction including domestic projects, where he specialises in student accommodation and large national and international infrastructure projects, particularly in the energy, waste, and health sectors. Philip has advised on various international projects throughout Europe and Africa, notably working with Rio Tinto on the Simandou project in Guinea.

Philip’s career began in Perth, Australia, where he spent valuable time as a secondee at Woodside Energy working on the Browse LNG project, one of the largest natural gas projects in the region.
