Career

Nicola sees her job as providing clear, user-friendly advice and pragmatic solutions which help her clients achieve their objectives. Since qualifying as a lawyer in 2000, she has helped sponsoring employers, pension fund trustees and insurance providers with their pension law-related problems, whatever they may be.

She has particular experience on DC-related issues, PPF drop-ins, bulk annuity and closure to accrual exercises and multi-jurisdictional transactions, and has over the years advised on a very wide-range of issues affecting both DC and DB pension schemes.

She is heavily involved in the wider pension community and is Chair of the Society of Pension Professionals DC Committee and a member of the Association of Pension Lawyers. Nicola also works as a volunteer adviser for the Pensions Advisory Service in her spare time which gives her the opportunity to see pensions through the eyes of the end-use.
