Mark has 25 years of experience advising on complex and high-profile competition/antitrust issues. He focuses on obtaining competition clearances for M&A transactions and joint ventures and representing clients in the cartel, monopoly, and market investigations. He is equally at home advising on UK, EU, and multi-jurisdictional matters.

Mark also regularly advises on issues relating to the economic regulation of utilities, the EU state aid rules, and the public procurement rules.

Mark understands what makes regulators tick. His experience includes a secondment to the Office of Fair Trading, the then lead UK competition authority, and he has acted for a number of UK regulators with concurrent competition/antitrust powers.

Sectors in which Mark has particular experience include financial institutions, energy/infra, and consumer/retail. He is a recognised competition lawyer in the legal directories, including Chambers and Legal 500.
