Ruud van der Velden has 15 years’ experience in multijurisdictional patent and trade secret litigation. He litigates before all courts in the Netherlands and the European Patent Office. He represents companies in all technological fields, with a particular focus on high tech and life sciences industries. Ruud has an excellent track record in complicated cases. Examples include obtaining a cross-border patent infringement injunction at a time this was considered impossible, successfully enforcing a second medical use patent that was revoked in almost every other jurisdiction, and seizing pivotal evidence in a logistical warehouse in the Netherlands in absence of a patent in force in the Netherlands to secure injunctions in Germany.
