Miriam Gundt is well connected in our global network. As of January 2020, Miriam has been appointed as head of intellectual property (IP), media and technology (IPMT) for Europe, including the United Kingdom.

She is an ideal “go-to” lawyer for the coordination of international patent disputes and the enforcement of intellectual property rights in various European jurisdictions. Miriam is an expert in the area of interim legal protection, including preliminary injunctions and evidence seizures. She has successfully obtained and enforced or defended against preliminary injunctions for various clients. Clients especially like Miriam’s pragmatic and solution-orientated approach. Miriam’s experience comprises both litigation and contractual IP matters, including licence agreements and research and development agreements. Miriam possesses outstanding knowledge in the areas of SPCs. Having successfully obtained the first compulsory licence at the German Federal Patent Court that was ever granted in interim proceedings, she is also an expert on compulsory licensing and strategic questions in that context. Miriam focuses on the pharma and biotech industry, life science, and medical engineering, and has broad experience in the areas of telecommunication, chemistry and mechanics.
