Career

Richard specialises in all aspects of employment law and regularly helps businesses with reorganisation and redundancy, staffing issues, TUPE and all types of employment dispute. Richard also has extensive experience of employee competition disputes and injunction proceedings (and has acted as supervising solicitor). He has industry specialism in representing major recruitment agencies and education sector clients. Richard’s client base is broad and ranges from individuals to international companies. He is an accredited civil and commercial mediator.

Richard trained and qualified at Longmores in 1991 where he first practiced as an Articled Clerk moving on to Solicitor and then Associate Solicitor.  In 2000 Richard became a Partner and then Joint Senior Partner in 2017.

Richard advises his clients on issues such as:

  • Reorganisation and redundancies
  • Grievance and disciplinary proceedings

  • Discrimination claims
  • Misuse of confidential information by former employees and enforcement of contractual restrictions
