The ‘very proactive, practical and very responsive’ team at Lewis Silkin has notable experience in immigration and visa matters, and handles other contentious and non-contentious issues for its clients. Noted for its strong profile among local and international companies, the firm has recently had a number of instructions relating to the National Security Law and the COVID-19 pandemic. Kathryn Weaver, who is dual-qualified in Hong Kong and England & Wales, is the head of the group. She acts for clients such as FTSE 100 companies, household-name brands, gig economy clients and start-ups. Catherine Leung is recommended for strategic advice on recruitment and terminations, discrimination and data privacy matters. The team is greatly boosted by Jezamine Fewins who joined from Stephenson Harwood in January 2022. Fewins’ expertise cuts across employment and IP law with a focus on litigation cases.
