Position

Partner: Tarun advises a broad range of clients, with a particular insight into businesses in the technology sector, on complex, strategically important and high impact employment law issues.

As a partner in Lewis Silkin’s employment litigation team, he has a particular interest in High Court litigation and advises on disputes involving restrictive covenants (individual and team moves), misuse of confidential information and other contractual claims (such as bonus claims).

Tarun is a regular speaker at industry events on employment law. He has been recognised for his work in The Lawyer’s Hot 100, which showcases “the most daring, innovative and creative lawyers from in-house, private practice and the Bar”, and acknowledged as an Employment Law Leader in the Reward Strategy, Reward 300.

Tarun advises innovative technology businesses, from start-ups to significant multinationals and listed companies, on their employment law needs. Outside of providing pure legal advice, he is able to leverage my prior experience as the Head of Employment Law and Commercial Litigation at Deliveroo to better understand and deliver on what matters most for my clients – having spent four years in their shoes.

He has particular expertise in issues relating to the platform and/or gig economy and has successfully defended gig economy business models in multiple jurisdictions (and across various forums including before Courts, labour inspectors and other regulators); and worked with governments and regulators on legislative reform.
