Sarah is a Legal Director in Lewis Silkin’s Employment team.

Sarah advises clients across all industries, but her practice focusses primarily on contentious matters and senior-level hires in the financial and professional service sectors. She advises employers on a wide range of employment law issues, from boardroom disputes, contentious exits and knotty disciplinary and grievance issues, to contractual rights, post-termination restrictions, recruitment terms and redundancy.

Sarah also has extensive experience of supporting senior executives through critical moments in their employment, including helping them to negotiate favourable terms prior to joining, managing difficult issues (such as grievances, disciplinary and regulatory issues) during employment, and helping them to navigate delicate exits should that become necessary.

Sarah is an experienced litigator and has particular expertise in complex Employment Tribunal litigation, with a focus on high-value whistleblowing and sex, maternity and race discrimination claims. She is also a member of the firm’s Investigations and Regulatory practice group, and has carried out a number of sensitive investigations into allegations of workplace bullying and discrimination.

Sarah is passionate about Diversity and co-leads the Gender strand of the Firm’s Diversity Board.

Equally well versed in contentious and non-contentious work relating to senior executives, the ‘universally excellentLewis Silkin team is particularly active in advising individuals on complex contractual arrangements and reputation management issues. Another strength of the firm is acting in the full range of discrimination ligation and arbitration, including race and sex discrimination cases, with paternity discrimination claims presenting an area of increasing activity.
