Cameron heads the team at Plexus Scotland. He is qualified in England and Scotland and has over 25 years’ experience with 10 of those in London. He represents general insurers, Lloyd’s syndicates and corporate clients. He handles all types of personal injury, motor and liability claims across a wide range of sectors with particular expertise in catastrophic injury and fatal accidents.
In addition, he is experienced in handling clinical negligence claims for Healthcare Professionals and their insurers. He has many years’ experience of advising private and public sector healthcare providers and healthcare professionals across the full breadth of clinical negligence matters as well as employers and public liability claims in a healthcare context. His experience covers everything from infection control to orthopaedics, consent, confidentiality, mental health and ophthalmology.
Cameron is active in the Forum of Insurance Lawyers and has served a two-year term as Regional Representative in Scotland. He also sits on the Law Society Civil Justice Committee which has an important voice both in Civil Justice reform and Litigation Costs. He has given evidence to the Justice Committee of the Scottish Parliament in relation to proposed law reforms impacting on personal injury claims.
Cameron regularly delivers seminars to clients on claims handling and current topics in the injury claims arena. In addition to writing regular briefings to clients, he contributes articles and comment to leading insurance industry publications.
