Julie is a Partner in our Edinburgh office. She qualified as a solicitor in 2005.

She acts on behalf of insurers and large corporates in all aspects of Scottish claims and litigation, including in the Court of Session and All Scotland Sheriff Personal Injury Court. She has conducted a number of her own trials.

She handles high value and complex motor claims including those arising out of fatalities, and involving amputations and spinal injuries. She has a particular interest in fraudulent claims in this arena.

She also acts in property damage claims arising out of fires, floods and negligent workmanship. She regularly provides coverage advice in all aspects of property work.

She also has an interest in clinical negligence claims and has acted for a number of private healthcare providers, including hospitals and eye surgery clinics.

Julie regularly provides training to clients and colleagues on a wide variety of topics including the Scottish Pre-action Protocols, Quantifying Damages and Upcoming Legislative Developments.
