Paul is a partner who has featured in the Legal 500 for his contentious insurance and reinsurance work. He has extensive experience of advising on policy disputes across a number of business lines covering both first party and more frequently third party liability. He has advised insurers in connection with many coverage issues including material non-disclosure/misrepresentation, breach of condition and breach of warranty, and the aggregation of losses arising from multiple events. Paul is also instructed in related broker disputes. Where insurance cover is validated Paul is regularly instructed to act in the defence of the underlying claim for material damage often arising from explosions, fire, flood, structural damage/collapse, defective products or the failure of mechanical or electrical components. Paul’s cases are often technical in nature and many have an international component.
