Jacqui has over 28 years’ of professional liability claims involving a wide range of professionals and issues. She has dealt with all types of claims against solicitors and, having initially practised as a property lawyer, this has stood her in good stead to deal with claims against solicitors and conveyancers, arising out of residential and commercial conveyancing transactions. Jacqui heads up teams dealing with claims against licensed conveyancers and their insurers. She conducted the defence of a landmark case arising out of a property transaction involving identity fraud.

Jacqui has considerable experience of claims involving auditors, accountants (including those involving allegedly negligent tax mitigation/avoidance schemes; CGT and IHT planning) and insurance brokers (such as the provision of inadequate cover on properties damaged by fire/water ingress as a result of a failure to carry out instructions/ask the right questions; and all causation and loss issues that arise).

She advises on and defends a wide range of construction claims, including those against architects, civil structural and mechanical electrical engineers, quantity surveyors, project managers and contractors. Jacqui also defended a project manager and health and safety professional resulting from the catastrophic collapse of a number of building in Knightsbridge; and is dealing with a multi-million-pound claim on behalf of engineers concerning the design of a carpark.
