Career

Jonathon qualified as a Solicitor in October 1993 and is Partner at Plexus, handling complex and high value claims and litigation.

Jonathon has over 25 years’ experience as a Solicitor, during which time he has acted for a wide range of public sector organisations including the Military, the Police, the Fire Brigade, the Ambulance Service, Royal Mail, the Post Office and numerous local authorities. He also regularly represents insurance companies and corporate self-insureds.

Jonathon specialises in Employers Liability and Public Liability defence work and deals with a wide range of cases including manual handling, work equipment, slips and trips, stress/harassment/bullying, work-related upper limb disorders, assaults and armed robberies. He has dealt with group actions involving work equipment and personal protective equipment. He has also handled high value RTA cases, including catastrophic injury. In addition to his civil work, Jonathon deals with regulatory cases and inquests. He also regularly delivers training to clients.

Jonathon is also responsible for supervising, developing and mentoring junior lawyers and has managed a number of teams over the years.

In addition to his fee earning responsibilities, Jonathon is also responsible for the firm’s in-house Costs Department, which he manages with a Technical Director.
