Simon is a Consultant in the Leeds office. He qualified as a solicitor in 1995 since when he has acted exclusively for local authorities, police forces, and more recently the MOD.

With over 25 years’ experience in the sector, he has worked with clients on the full range and variety of claims they experience and is able to provide strategic input.

Specific areas of interest include: civil actions against the police, abuse claims, high value or complex highways, EL, occupier’s liability, social care and failure to educate claims.  He deals with judicial reviews and inquests, conducting his own advocacy in the Coroner’s courts.

Simon is a regular speaker at national and regional ALARM events and contributes to sector publications on developments in the law and their ramifications.

Simon enjoys golf, fell walking, wine and beer (often managing to combine all four). Coaching a local youth football team.
