Duncan is a Partner and for the last 20 years has specialised in Multi-track Employers and Public Liability claims, including Product Liability claims  He has a particular specialism in higher value retail claims, having acted in many cases for two of the UK’s ‘Big Four’ supermarkets for over 12 years. He also acts on high value cases for a major global manufacturer of household goods and has recently been instructed by another nationwide retailer.

He has broad experience in product liability, in which he has handled cases involving cosmetics, chemicals, electrical items and food products. He has delivered seminars on this topic to insured clients and TPAs.  He delivers internal and external training on vicarious liability. Duncan has detailed knowledge of the area and was involved in one of the major cases in the area in recent years.

Duncan advises clients on sensitive and high profile cases, including fatal accident cases, especially where there is potential media interest. He is regularly asked to advise both on the technical and tactical aspects of cases as well as considerations of reputation and brand management.
